1891 Morgan Silver Dollar - New Orleans - Circulated

silver discovery. It was 1st struck in 1878 and continued until 1904 and then again for one final year in 1921.

Mint. The New Orleans Mint is the only Southern Mint to strike the Morgan Dollar. Its 1st year of production was in 1879 and it ended its production in 1904. The New Orleans Mint produced
of all Morgan dollars issued. The New Orleans Morgan dollar bears the "O" Mint Mark. It can be located on the back of the coin below the Eagle...the "O" mint mark is present above the letters "O" and "L" in the word "Dollar."
