About this Product Full Product Name

The Barber half dollar was introduced in 1892 and was issued until 1915. It is named after it's designer, the Chief Engraver of the US Mint; Charles E. Barber. The obverse design is Liberty with a cap and wreath. This figure was inspired both by classical Greek and Roman models. The reverse a heraldic eagle similar to that featured on the Great Seal of the United States.

The 1909O... The End of an Era
The 1909O is the last Silver coin struck by the only southern Mint - New Orleans. Commissioned in 1938, after 65 years of service the Mint closed its doors for good. It's not only the last... it is also the lowest mintage Barber of the year. Like the issue above, over 100 years later - good luck finding one..
! Lucky for you we have a few!
