The American Silver Eagle is America's most popular silver bullion coin. It is the largest, heaviest and purest silver dollar ever made. In 2006 in celebration of the Silver Eagle's 20th Anniversary, the U.S. Mint produced a special finish coin, commonly known as Satin Finish. Struck on a burnished planchet at the West Point Mint, these coins reveal a smooth proof-like surface with superior eye appeal. The dies are first sandblased with a fine mixture of sand and glass beads, giving each coin a distinctive look.

In response to popular outcry, the U.S. Mint has released the "W" Mint Satin Finish Silver Eagle for a second year. Even better, we sent our batch into ANACS and received back a few of the world's most perfect Silver Eagles!

This 2006 (1st) issue is certified as a perfect "70" by ANACS, America's Oldest Grading Service. Only a rare few 2006 coins can ever attain the ultimate grade of Mint State 70 condition. For a coin to be graded as such, it has to have no marks, scratches, or even a stray speck of dust - literally perfect! It is impossible for a coin to be graded any higher - this is the ultimate Silver Eagle!
