The Idaho State Quarter design was chosen from among hundreds of suggestions submitted by state residents to the Idaho Commission on the Arts. The central Image on the Idaho State Quarter is a peregrine falcon; it is the official state raptor. The design is completed with a map of Idaho, including a star to indicate the location of capital at Boise, and the state motto meaning May it be forever.
