This series aimed to showcase the diverse beauty and history of the United States, with 56 unique quarter designs spanning from 2010 to 2021. The first quarter of 2011 honored Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania, featuring the Soldiers National Monument, commemorating the Civil War's pivotal battle and President Abraham Lincoln's renowned Gettysburg Address. The second quarter paid tribute to Glacier National Park in Montana, showcasing a stunning depiction of the park's rugged mountains and a mountain goat, representing the park's breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife. The third quarter celebrated Olympic National Park in Washington, depicting a Roosevelt elk and the Hoh River, symbolizing the park's temperate rainforest ecosystem and the rich biodiversity that thrives within its boundaries. The fourth quarter, commemorating Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi, featured the U.S.S. Cairo, a Civil War-era ironclad gunboat, honoring the significance of the Siege of Vicksburg in American history and the vital role of the Mississippi River during the conflict. Finally, the fifth quarter issued in 2011 honored Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma, showcasing the Lincoln Bridge amidst the park's serene landscape, reflecting the park's dedication to nature preservation and its historical connection to the Chickasaw Nation.
