About this Product

The Peace Dollar is America's last circulating "Silver" dollar. It was issued to commemorate the declaration of Peace after World War I. The Peace dollar has two unique inscriptions. On the Obverse, the standard inscription "In God We Trust" is actually written "In God We Trvst", the "V" for our victory in WWI. Then, on the reverse, the simple inscription "Peace", which is where the coin's name is derived from. It was 1st struck in 1921 and continued until 1928 and then again in 1934 and 1935.

1922 was the first year this coin was struck at the Denver Mint. This 1922 Denver Peace dollar is in Uncirculated condition. It has been held by a bank or a private individual since the day it was struck...never being released into circulation.

This item will arrive to you encapsulated and protected in a felt pouch.
