With Baseball on everyone's mind, we decided to bring back one of baseball's greatest coins ever: the one-of-a-kind CURVED 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Half Dollar!

While the United States Mint has produced baseball-themed coins before, they wanted to do something truly special with the 75th Anniversary of the MLB Hall of Fame in 2014. And boy, did they hit this one out of the park! Not only was this coin the first EVER curved coin in United States History, but it is also hands-down the best baseball coin they have ever produced period!

The Baseball Hall of Fame celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2014, and thanks to the "National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Act" passed in 2012, they marked this historic occasion with a very special limited release: the 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Half Dollar! And to make it even better...it was the first CURVED coin ever produced in United States Mint History! The initial collector demand was so high that not only did these coins sell out, but they completely sold out in less than ten days!

The coin, which itself has a dome-like shape, has an obverse portraying a well-worn family baseball glove with an actual depression in the center of the glove. The inverse of the coin depicts a MLB baseball and is given a unique 3-D appearance thanks to the curved-coin technology used by the United States Mint. The Mint knocked it out of the park with this coin; from design to launch this special release had collectors waiting in anticipation for its debut...and judging by the sell-out, they were certainly not disappointed!
