About this Product

The Secret Silver Ike Dollars
All of Them !!

The Eisenhower Dollar was released in 1971 - a dual commemorate dollar, honoring both President Eisenhower and the first landing of man on the moon. It was in circulation for only 8 years, last released in 1978. It was the last large size dollar issued by the US Mint.

Silver Ikes ?
If you are like most you didn’t know the US Mint struck a special silver Eisenhower dollar. It wasn't meant to be a secret … but it was released before the information age was in full swing so the average consumer just didn’t know it existed. These “secret” silvers were struck at the San Francisco Mint in uncirculated and proof condition.

Not 1, Not 2, But 10 in All !!!
The S Mint Silver Ikes were made between 1971 and 1974 … a special bicentennial design was also struck and released in 1975-76. 5 years, two types - 10 coins in all!

The Keys to the Series
The “Secret” silvers were made in miniscule numbers when compared to the quantities released for circulation. In 1971, 115 million vs 11 million, in 1972, just shy of 170 million compared to 4 million … even the Bicentennial figures are staggering - 220 million vs 15 million. The lowest mintage coins in the entire series are silver - the 1973 silver proof, the 1974 silver proof, and the 1972 silver proof.

Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a custom display box.
