About this Product

The Peace Dollar is America's last circulating "Silver" dollar. It was issued to commemorate the declaration of Peace after World War I. The Peace dollar has 2 very unique inscriptions...On the Obverse, the standard inscription "In God We Trust" is actually written "In God We Trvst", with the "V" for Victory. Then the second, on the reverse, the simple inscription "Peace", which is where it's name derives. It was 1st struck in 1921 and continued until 1928 and then again in 1934 and 1935.

This Peace Dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, America's main mint. Philadelphia is America's oldest and most historic Mint. The Philadelphia Mint produced 42% of all Peace dollars issued between 1921 and 1935. The Philadelphia Mint Peace Dollar does not bear a Mint Mark like the branch mints. A Philadelphia Mint Peace dollar can only be determined by looking on the back of the coin below the word "One", NO mint mark is present below the letters "O" and "N" in the word "One".

This 1923 P Mint Peace Dollar is ranked number 23 of 24 with a mintage of 30,800,000. It also holds the place of 9 out of 10 from Peace dollars made from the Philadelphia Mint.
