About this Product Full Product Name

1925 Special Release Half Dollars

In 1925, the U.S. Mint did not release a regular issue Walking Liberty half dollar into circulation. BUT they did release two Special Silver Half Dollars to commemorate significant struggles in our country's quest for Freedom and Democracy...one for the Revolutionary War Battles of Lexington and Concord and the other a tribute to the Confederate soldiers who fought during the Civil War...The Stone Mountain Memorial.

"The Shot Heard Around the World - April 19th, 1775"

In 1925, the U.S. Mint released a limited number of Silver Half Dollars to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Minute Men who stood up to King George's order to surrender our guns and powder. The obverse depicts a Minute Man ready, with the Old Belfry at Lexington on the reverse. The mintage was miniscule...less than 1/3rd of this year's Lincoln Silver Dollar. Only a handful of these classics are available at this low price.

This coin is in uncirculated condition.
