About this Product

When you look back at history few people have played as instrumental a role as Ben Franklin - from inventor to statesman, we are blessed he was part of our past. From our best accounts it is believed that on June 15th, 1752, Franklin conducted his famous kite experiment in Philadelphia, where he successfully extracted sparks from a cloud ... the rest is history.

Did you know? Ben Franklin was the only signer of all four of the major documents instrumental to the founding of the United States - the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, the Treaty of Paris and the Treaty of Alliance, Amity and Commerce, in which France recognized and supported the United States.

The Beginning of an Era... 1948 commenced the first year of the Franklin Half Dollar. Although it was replaced by the Kennedy Half Dollar in 1964, this set commemorates the start of the celebration and remembrance of such an important figure in American History.

Both coins are in uncirculated condition and thus are in Mint State! They will arrive in airtite capsules and on a display box.
