While searching the country we discovered of a small hoard of these stunning 1st-year-of-issue Silver Eagles from the San Francisco Mint in pristine rolls that had been tucked away for decades! They were in such good condition that we decided to send them over to the experts over at NGC for certification… and the results were incredible!

A Handful of these coins graded out to be in Near-Perfect PR69 condition after more than 35 years!

But that is not All! Thanks to this incredible find we can offer these stunning PR69 1st year-of -issue proof Silver Eagles for more than $40 less than our competition is asking for an ungraded coin!

The Silver Eagle Dollar is now America’s longest tenured silver dollar in United States Minting history, at over 35 years old it is now even older than the fabled Morgan Dollar Series (Minted for 28 total years)! A Large part of its popularity is due to the fact that it hits what we like to call the “Collector's Tri-Fecta”: it is the largest, heaviest and purest silver coin in U.S. history.

It is struck from one full ounce of .9993 pure American silver and is even larger and heavier than the legendary Morgan Silver Dollar. The Silver Eagle's metal content is not the only reason it is famous, it is also revered for its beautiful design: The Lady Liberty wrapped in the American Flag, a scene that is considered to be one of the greatest symbols of American Freedom. The design is a true classic that was first used on Silver Half Dollars from 1916-1947.

Since its introduction in 1986, the Silver Eagle has quickly become the World's #1 Silver Dollar.

These Proof Silver Eagles were struck at the San Francisco Mint in proof condition and had a mintage of just 1,446,778 coins… which already makes it one of the rarer Proof Silver Eagles in U.S. Minting history, but when they are in Near-Perfect PR69 they become a true collecting rarity!

NGC has only certified 48,240 Proof Silver Eagles from 1986 in Near-Perfect PR69 or better condition!

That means only 1 in every 30 coins struck exists in this condition!

That is less than 3.3% of 1986 Proof Silver Eagles!
