In 1992, for the 400th Anniversary of Columbus's discovery of America the US Mint released two special issue coins... a Half Dollar and 90% Silver Dollar!

20 years removed, there is a simple observation... The special 2pc Proof Set is a STEAL at today's levels!

The half dollar had an image of Columbus landing in the New World on one side and his three ships on the other. The 90% silver dollar featured a full length image of Columbus beside a globe on one side with the other a 1/2 image of the Santa Maria and the US space shuttle Discovery. Our sets are still in the original US Mint display.
