Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of establishment of the Gettysburg National Military Park in 1895. The US Mint released a Half Dollar, Silver Dollar, and $5 Gold.

The 90% Silver Dollar's Obverse is of an infantry man raising his canteen to a wounded brethren, while the reverse a quotation from Joshua Chamberlain a Gettysburg hero.

These were made in Uncirculated condition at the Philadelphia Mint with Proof editions struck at the San Francisco Mint. This Uncirculated Dollar comes in original government packaging.
