About this Product

2009 Lincoln Bicentennial Cents

The U.S. Mint released 4 new Cent designs in 2009, each honoring a historical part in Abraham Lincoln's life.

We are offering the second coin in the series, Formative Years in Indiana (1816-1830), in certified rolls. The approved reverse design for the second release depicts a young Abraham Lincoln reading while taking a break from working as a "Rail Splitter" in Indiana. Known for his love for books, Abraham Lincoln educated himself by reading. He could often be seen carrying a book along with his axe. The coin includes the inscriptions "United States of America," "E Pluribus Unum" and "One Cent."

This item consists of a pair of Certified Rolls, "Formative Years in Indiana" Lincoln Cents. One roll from the Philadelphia Mint and one Denver Mint. Each roll is independently certified by ANACS.
