About this Product

The United States America the Beautiful Quarter Program

The 2011 Chickasaw Quarter is the TENTH coin in the United States America the Beautiful Quarter Series. The series began in 2010 and honors one national park from each of the 50 States as well as Washington D.C. and the five territories.

This second year of releases will include: Gettysburg, Glacier, Olympic, Vicksburg & Chickasaw. .

There will be 5 Quarters released each year. Like the State Quarters, each quarter will be minted from the Philadelphia and the Denver Mint. The obverse design showing George Washington remains unchanged, while the reverse design reflects the National Park that is being honored.

The unique reverse design on the Chickasaw National Recreation Park Quarter features the Lincoln Bridge. It was built of limestone and dedicated in 1909 for the centennial for the 16th President’s birth. The bridge represented the first constructed improvement within the National Recreation Area. The Chickasaw National Recreaetion Park Quarter was released by the U.S. Mint in November 2011.

This is the Philadelphia Minted, uncirculated quarter. It will be encapsulated to protect its condition.
