2013 Girl Scouts Commemorative Silver Dollar - Proof

The U.S.Mint recently released the 2013 Girl Scouts Silver Dollars to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts. The obverse design of the coin features a depiction of three girls intended to represent the different ages and diversity of the organization. An inscription above includes “Courage, Confidence, Character” which are three key elements of the mission statement. A 100th anniversary Trefoil symbol appears below. On the reverse are the iconic profiles of the Girl Scouts. These are struck in 90% silver.
