2018 Republic of Chad 1oz Silver Lion - Uncirculated

The African Silver Lions have been one of the more popular wildlife series to have been released in recent years. Last year’s issue, the 2017 from the Republic of Chad, was a smash-hit with collectors and saw the series’ popularity reach new heights!

Fresh off their success, they are not sitting on their laurels, and we are proud to announce the newest addition to the African Silver Lion series: the 2018 1 oz African Lion!

The African Silver Lion series began in 2015 and has seen its coins produced by three different nations. The 2015 issue was produced in Burundi, the 2016 issue was from Congo, and the 2017 & 2018 issues were produced in the Republic of Chad. Each year the reverse design changes on the coin and they have only gotten better with age!

2018’s new design was created by the artist Remrov Casey Vormer and given the title of "King of the Jungle”...and based off the look of these new coins, the name was more than appropriate! Each 2018 issue bears an incredibly detailed rendition of a Male lion who’s majestic mane truly takes this coin to the next level. The reverse of each coin, like the issues before it, displays the continent of Africa alongside the nation of issue and denomination engravings.
