2020 Basketball Silver Dollar - Proof - HOF Collection - PCGS 70

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame celebrated its 60^h Anniversary in 2020 and marked this historic occasion with the release of a very special Silver Dollar: The 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame Silver Dollar! These special curved silver dollars are just the 3^rd of their kind in U.S. Mint History (The 2014 Baseball was #1 and the 2019 Apollo was #2)

The coin, which itself has a dome-like shape, has an obverse portraying a Basketball going into the basketball hoop. The inverse of the coin features three different basketball players (One Male, One Female, and one Paraplegic) all reaching for the Basketball above them. The reverse also features the stitch-pattern of a basketball net while also being given a unique 3-D appearance thanks to the curved-coin technology used by the United States Mint.

Without a doubt this coin is going to be a Slam Dunk for collectors; From design to launch this special release had collectors waiting in anticipation for its debut…and they were certainly not disappointed!
