The Harry Potter books and films have grown to become one of the most iconic series of the last 20 years – and the famed School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hogwarts, finally has a 1 oz. silver coin all it’s own!

This coin is something truly special – it is struck in the exact same shape as the famous Crest from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the famous Harry Potter universe’s books and films!

The obverse design of the Crest-coin itself honors the 4 major houses (dorms) that young spellcasters would live in when they arrived as 1st-year students at Hogwarts – with each of the four houses colorized in their now iconic house-colors! The Crest Features an ornate ‘H’ for Hogwarts at its center with the animal-familiars of the ‘4 Houses’ surrounding it.

The Four Houses are: Gryffindor (Red Lion, Top Left), Slytherin (Green Serpent, Top Right), Hufflepuff (Yellow Badger, bottom left), and Ravenclaw (Blue Raven, bottom right). Beneath this stunning crest is the inscription of the School’s Motto: ‘Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus’ which translates to ‘Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon’!

The reverse of this coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley’s rendition of Queen Elizabeth II alongside the inscriptions ‘NIUE’ , ‘2021’ , ‘ELIZABETH II’ , ‘1 OZ .99 FINE SILVER’ and ‘TWO DOLLARS’.
