An All-Time Classic Look Forever Immortalized in Gold – the 1950s Classic Car!
There are few cars in the world that are as iconic as the old-school American classics from the 1950s! The Post WWII economy had made a full shift from war-time production into consumer goods, and there was no industry more impactful than the automobile industry! The creation and proliferation of these now classic cars led to innovations such as the Drive-Throughs, Drive-ins, Car Washes, and more!
The designs of the cars from the 1950s were truly ground-breaking and still to this day are considered to be some of the most beautiful automobiles ever made – and these ½ gram gold coins have hit the nail right on the head!
These new 2021 ½ gram gold pieces were struck at the CIT Mint in Germany and have an obverse design that features an iconic classic car that is reminiscent of the beautiful 1957 Ford Fairlane Skyliner! The reverse of these coins features the Republic of Palau’s Coat of Arms alongside the inscriptions ‘REPBULIC OF PALAU’ and ‘$1’.
