2022 Palau - American Alligator - Silver 1oz Proof

This stunning silver coin was minted by the Mayer Mint (CIT) in Germany on behalf of the republic of Palau.

This beautiful proof strike features a colorized rendition of an American Alligator (in full silver) as it swims through a blue colorized field with the green marshlands to his right and a small silver boat to his left. There is also a tan hat floating in the water behind the Alligator --

The other side of the coin features an all-silver version of the same scene from the obverse, but this one is from below the water! (plus the Republic of Palau’s Coat of Arms in the water). The inscription ‘American Alligator’ is even mirrored like it is upside down!

Each coin was struck from 1 ounce of .999 fine silver and has a Face value $5.
