Since 1964, the Silver Kennedy Half Dollar has been one of America's favorite coins. With a history of production well over 50 years long and still going strong! Philadelphia and Denver issues have been made each year for circulation, alongside a special collector’s edition proof has been released by the San Francisco Mint ... but very few people are aware of the KEY pieces to the series - the very rare Silver Kennedy Half Dollars! Due to their exclusion from circulating coinage, they have become known as the “Secret Kennedy's” among collectors…and who doesn’t love a good secret?!

The Secret Silver Kennedy’s

President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on Nov 22nd, 1963. The very next year, Congress approved the release of a new half dollar in his memory. The 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar was released into circulation as a 90% Silver half dollar, much like the Franklin Half Dollars before it.

After one year of circulation the composition of the Kennedy Half Dollar was changed as a result of the Coinage Act of 1965. As a result the production of the Silver Kennedy’s was limited to only the Philadelphia Mint for the 1st 3 years ( 1965-1967 ). After this initial run their production was then moved to the Denver Mint for the next three mintages (1968-1970).

This roll contains 10 40% Silver Uncirculated Kennedy half dollar. Years and mints will be our choice.
