Lincoln Cent - Copper - Blank Planchet - Certified

Have you ever seen one of these? This unique specimen is an authentic US Mint "Copper" cent blank. These blanks are used by the Mint to produce our circulating Lincoln cents. They are never made available to the public, unless through an Error, one is pushed through the coinage press and for what ever reason doesn't strike. Each of these Copper Error Blanks are independently certified as Authentic Blank Errors.

In 1982 the US Mint changed the composition of our cent to copper-plated zinc. Prior all of our cents were issued in .950 copper.
