Walking Liberty Half Dollar - Uncirculated

Silver coinage is hands-down one of the most collectible types of coins that exist today. Of all the silver coins created by the U.S. Mint, none are more iconic to true collectors than the Walking Liberty Half Dollars. These beautiful coins have a design that was so beloved that when they created the Silver Eagle in 1986, they completely reused this all-American classic.

A while back at the F.U.N. Show in Florida, we grabbed a few bags of Walking Liberty Half Dollars. When we opened them up, we were stunned to see that a vast majority of the coins were from the 1940s and still in collector's quality uncirculated condition.

The Walking Liberty was released in 1916 as an integral part of President Roosevelt's coin beautification project. It was his belief that a ‘super power’ nation had to have coinage the world would envy and desire. Boy was he right! The Walking Liberty is regarded as the most beautiful U.S. coin ever released into circulation; the design was so popular that the U.S. Mint released it again when the Silver Eagle Dollar was introduced in 1986. Today the silver eagle is the #1 silver dollar in the world.

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was struck from 1916 to 1947 at all three main U.S. Mints: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco.

Each of our Walking Liberty Half Dollars are from the 1940s and are in stunning collector’s quality uncirculated condition from the Philadelphia, Denver, or San Francisco Mints – with the dates and mint mark being our choice.
