The Native American Dollar’s reverse has changed annually since 2009, and 2019’s honored the contributions of Native Americans in the United States Space Program! This stunning design features the now iconic Mary Golda Ross, the first ever Native American engineer in the U.S. Space Program! She was an integral member of the Gemini and Apollo programs, and helped design the Agena spacecraft used in both missions! She is featured prominently in the forefront of the design writing the very same equations that would cement her place in history!
