This Morgan dollar was struck at the Philadelphia Mint which is America's main mint, oldest and most historic Mint. The Philadelphia Mint produced 53.42 % of all Morgan dollars issued between 1878 and 1921 The Philadelphia Mint Morgan does not bear a Mint Mark like the branch mints. A Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollar can be determined by looking on the back of the coin below the Eagle...NO mint mark is present above the letters "O" and "L" in the word "Dollar".
