2009's Secret Silver Dollar: The 2009 Abraham Lincoln Proof Silver Dollar!
The big story of 2009 was the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln Cent. In Honor of this historic achievement the United State Mint produced Four special cents that were released sequentially every 12 weeks ( A U.S. Mint First!). After the second coin was released, collectors became even more excited about the series after a number of unique errors began to appear. But an even more important Lincoln coin was minted that same year, one most people forget about. To commemorate the presidency of Abraham Lincoln the U.S. Mint also minted a special limited release silver dollar: The 2009 Lincoln Proof 90% Silver Dollar. It had an extremely limited release with only 325,000 proof versions of the coin made, and is often a forgotten piece in most Lincoln Collections.

A Design Made in Remembrance
The obverse design bears the majestic image of President Lincoln. The reverse the final 43 words of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address spelled out in capital letters accompanied by Lincoln's signature.
