About this Product

An Iconic Coin for a Woman Who Soared Above: The New 2022 Sally Ride Precious Metals Set!

Since their launch in 1999, the U.S. Mint’s State Quarter Collection has been without a doubt one of the most popular coin programs in their long and storied history. With five coins per year, and one coin for each of the 50 states and 6 U.S. Territories, these special quarters were the absolute King-of-the-Hill for everyday collectors.

The follow-up to this stunning collection was the popular America The Beautiful coin program starting in 2010. The America the Beautiful Program shifted the focus from the states themselves to the national parks and monuments within each state, releasing 5 new coins every year until the series ended with just 1 coin released in 2021.

Now, in 2022, we are seeing the newest quarter series from the U.S. Mint: The American Women Quarter Series! This new program will run from 2022 to 2025 and each coin will honor the incredible accomplishments and contributions made by women in the United States of America's history!

We are offering a stunning 5 pc. set of these new 2022 Quarters featuring every mint of issue while also having two coins plated in incredible 24 kt. Gold and stunning Platinum!

The 2nd Woman in Quarters & the 1st American Woman
in Space: Dr. Sally Ride!

Dr. Sally Ride is truly an American hero – She was the first-ever American woman to venture into space! Alongside being an astronaut she is a well renowned physicist and educator! Not only was she the first-ever American woman to soar into space, she was also the youngest American astronaut to do so in history at 32! After her historic space flights, she wrote several science textbooks, became a Professor of Physics at the University of California, and was the director of the California Space Institute. Her book “The Third Planet: Exploring Earth From Space” won the American Institute of Physics’ Children’s Science Writing Award in 1995.

Not only does this quarter feature just the second-ever woman in U.S. Mint history, but they have also brought back the fan-favorite George Washington bust design produced by Laura Gardin Fraser! Her design was originally considered for the original 1932 Washington Quarter, before they switched to the now iconic John Flannigan rendition – but her bust of Washington would still become a favorite among collectors after it was used on the special 200th Anniversary $5 gold coin!

Each collection is 5-total coins, with one uncirculated issue from each of the U.S. Mints (Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco) to strike the coin, as well as one gold-plated and one platinum-plated version of the 2022 Sally Ride Quarters! The designs on these new quarters when plated in stunning Platinum and 24kt. Gold are truly something special!

Each 5pc. set of quarters will arrive encased in our custom-made collector’s lens to ensure the coins remain in stunning, collector-quality condition.

The Rarest Uncirculated San Francisco Quarters Ever Made!

The San Francisco Mint has produced very few uncirculated quarters when you compare their mintages to the Philadelphia or Denver Mint issues – and these new 2022 Sally Ride quarters are the 2nd rarest ones in U.S. Mint history!

These special San Francisco Uncirculated Quarters were only available directly from the Mint in 3-roll P/D/S Sets – and they only produced 7,607 of these collections! That means that just 304,280 of these San Francisco Mint Sally Ride Quarters exist!

Before this the top spot for San Francisco Quarters was held by the 1932-S coin that had a total mintage of just 408,000!
