About this Product

The Morgan Dollar is considered by many the "True" coin of the fabled Wild West. Made out of nearly 1 full ounce of .900 pure silver from the famous Comstock Lode silver discovery. It was 1st struck in 1878 and continued until 1904 and then again for one final year in 1921.

This Morgan dollar was struck at the San Francisco Mint. The San Francisco Mint Morgan dollars are considered the finest examples issued in the series. Like the Philadelphia Mint, the San Francisco Mint issued coins throughout the entire series of the product - 1878 until 1904 and then again in 1921. The San Francisco Mint produced 17.39 % of all Morgan dollars issued.

The San Francisco Morgan dollar bears the "S" Mint Mark. It can be located on the back of the coin below the Eagle...the "S" mint mark is present above the letter's "O" and "L" in the word "Dollar."

This 1884 San Francisco Mint Morgan dollar is ranked number 40 with a mintage of 3,200,000. It also holds the place of 15 out of 28 from Morgan dollars made at the San Francisco Mint. This San Francisco Mint Morgan dollar is in Circulated condition. It has full detail on both the obverse and reverse of the coin. This item will arrive to you in an airtight capsule and protected inside a felt pouch.
